March Play Reading: “The Eldest Son” by John Galsworthy
Join us for a reading of John Galsworthy’s The Eldest Son, a sharp domestic drama set in an English country house in 1912.
Best known for The Forsyte Saga, Nobel Prize–winner Galsworthy was also a prolific playwright. The Eldest Son exposes the rigid class system of Edwardian England, as a moral scandal reveals one rule for the rich and another for the poor.
Often compared to Downton Abbey—but far darker, more incisive, and uncompromising.
